Bible Alive Minutes June 6, 2007
Present: Pastor, Roger, Fabi and Ken
Absent: Judy, Bill, Dick, Chuck
Minutes: May minutes were approved as written.
Financials: Approved. Checking account balance $1479.16, and savings $101.36.
Old Business:
1. A suggestion was made to make Bill the Director of Marketing in lieu
of Rebecca, and Judy and Fabi as Fund Raising Directors in lieu of Mary
Hill.
2. We are awaiting reimbursement from Thrivent for purchased pictures.
3. The DVD about the temple is ready for showing at a date to be determined.
4. The new star show on the Book of Revelation will be presented in June
each Saturday.
5. The discovery of Harrods tomb could be the theme for the Christmas
event.
6. Our project for the July 4th parade has changed. Instead of using a
truck bed, we'll use two raised chairs that Pharaoh and Neferteri will
sit on and be carried through the streets of Galena. We'll use two banners,
one, "Bible Alive" and the other "Let My People Go".
Moses and Aaron will be speaking "let my people go". It was
suggested that Dwight, Pam, and Tom take pictures of the event. Characters
include: Chuck as Aaron, Dr. Lloyd as Moses, Karen Sand as Neferteri,
and Pastor as Pharaoh.
Other tasks:
a. Ask Mary Hill to sing "Let My People Go".
b.Make/buy chairs and attach to platform.
c. Get Chuck a beard.
d. Complete sewing of the costumes.
e. Pastor to ask Mike Highland to get 10 football players to carry Pharaoh
and
Neferteri.
f. There will be a check point meeting on June 20 at 10:30am.
7. Cookbooks-should be ready by Thanksgiving. The "Cook's Palate"
is an interactive tool for cook book preparation. It includes nourishment
info, shopping lists, and other cook book enhancing features. This software
program puts everything into one format. A decision was made to purchase
3 copies. Financially, a key feature of the program is the 30% kick back
for people who would purchase the software.
Respectfully Submitted,
Ken Voigt
